roots

There are several elements of African culture that are evident in the movie Roots. The transition from childhood to manhood is a large part of their culture. They are very respectful to their elders and peers. They have a ceremony in which they must become a man. They will not be well respected in their village and tribe if they do not pass the test to become a man

We also saw the tribes people care for their animals such as goats. They raise goats for food and their fur. When the boy fought of the leopard with his weapons it showed that he was trying to defend his goat.

Animals are also a big part of African culture because they live amongst the tribes people.

This tribe does not enjoy killing in war but they feel that they must defend themselves and their tribe. That is how they feel about that topic (they are not violent)
